Each year, Extended Family supports hundreds of individuals navigating the challenges of having a loved one who is incarcerated. One of the primary ways we provide assistance is through our comprehensive, up-to-date Resource Database, a national directory of community and faith-based organizations that offer services tailored to the needs of families affected by incarceration.

We recognize the profound emotional, mental, and physical toll that incarceration can have on families. In addition to coping with the absence of a loved one, families often face financial strain, the complexities of navigating the prison system, and courtesy stigma – the unfair transfer of a convicted individual’s reputation to their innocent family members.

In these difficult times, families need the support of informed and compassionate communities, yet many are unaware of the services and resources available to them. That’s why our online Resource Database is such a vital tool – it serves as a first step in connecting families with the help they need to begin the healing process.

Our user-friendly platform allows individuals to search for local assistance quickly and easily and is accessible any time. We encourage you to explore the Resource Database at www.extendedfamilyhelp.org. Our goal is to provide accurate, complete, and reliable information on support services in communities across the nation.

If you know of a qualified organization that is not currently listed, we invite you to click the “Join our Resource Database” button on our website to submit information. Each submission is thoroughly reviewed to ensure it meets our standards of quality and relevance. For questions about our support services for families, contact tiffany@extendedfamilyhelp.org.

We are deeply grateful to our supporters and partners who join us in serving this often-overlooked population. Maintaining and expanding the Resource Database is just one way we live out our mission, “To offer help and inspire hope,” one family at a time.
