We provide one-to-one support for adult family members through phone calls and emails, and help is available any time through our website tips and extensive, nationwide Resource Database. We offer two programs for children of the incarcerated, Extended Family for Kids and Extended Family Leadership Academy. Both programs serve hundreds of students in kindergarten through 12th grade every school year, providing children with positive tools for being successful in reaching their goals, despite having an incarcerated loved one.
Our reentry program, Extended Success for Life, is an individualized, twenty-week mentoring program for men released from jail or prison and wanting to reintegrate into their families and communities. This program compliments our “Going Home” workshop, which we have shared with almost two thousand prisoners in recent years. “Going Home” workshop identifies the major pitfalls returning citizens face during family reunification.
Extended Family for Life is designed for incarcerated mothers who want to maintain close connections with their children while they are separated. This program has a direct positive impact on the relationships the mothers have with their children and the children’s caretakers.
