Extended Family is dedicated to maintaining our online Resource Database, available at www.extendedfamilyhelp.org. The Resource Database features vetted community and faith-based organizations that provide services, programs, and support to families impacted by the incarceration of a loved one.

We understand the mental, physical, and emotional stress the family experiences when their loved one is incarcerated. In these times of crisis, family members need help from their communities to cope and adjust.  Sometimes, families are not even aware of what services are available to help them.  This is what makes Extended Family’s online Resource Database a crucial first step in helping families to find the help they need to begin to heal.

With website visitors from across the nation, Extended Family is committed to ensuring families can access relevant support within their local communities. By maintaining a centralized, reliable database of resources, we help families quickly find the assistance they need, reducing stress during an already difficult and emotional time.

Extended Family invites the public to visit our website and explore the Resource Database. Community members, service providers, and partner organizations are encouraged to submit information about social service agencies that support family members of incarcerated individuals which are not currently listed. A submission link is available directly on the Resource Database page. All submissions are carefully reviewed prior to inclusion. Questions or concerns regarding resource submissions may be directed to Tiffany@extendedfamilyhelp.org.

Extended Family remains committed to expanding our reach and strengthening our impact nationwide. We are deeply grateful for the continued support of our many partners, individuals, and organizations who share our dedication to preventing children from entering the juvenile justice system, reducing recidivism among adult and youth returned citizens (those who have been released from jail or prison), breaking the generational cycle of incarceration within families, and helping to build safer communities.

Together, Extended Family and our supporters continue to fulfill our mission, “To offer help and inspire hope,” one family at a time. For more information, visit www.extendedfamilyhelp.org.
